The Sleek Hound Classic Martingale Collar is timeless yet functional for every dog and owner. Combining the Signature chic style of the Classic Collar, the martingale comes with a stainless steel chain that is a preferred walking collar for many dog owners. The chain will smoothly tighten with slight pressure on the leash, and release like butter when relaxed. This style of martingale is best for correct usage of martingale collars, where you can get the perfect fit, unlike Fixed Martingale Collar.

That's why we use 5/8 inch(16mm) width leather free Standard Beta BioThane® that is 100% waterproof, stink-proof, mold resistant and most importantly, worry-free. The break strength for the 5/8" webbing is 625lbs(283.5kg), which is the sturdiest of webbing that will hold even the toughest canine!

Please note that there is inadequate space on sizes 10 inch and below for personalisation, hence it is recommended to opt for initials up to 3 characters. 11 & 12 inch collars can be debossed as per normal depending on the number of characters, while 13inch and above can take up to 10 characters as per usual. Martingale Chains Material

Silver Stainless Steel is resistant to rust and suitable for beach activities. It has a silver-coloured finish without any surface plating, which means the abrasion from tightening the chains will not cause colour to fade or scratch. Stainless steel may leave light coloured coats with a slight greyish tinge but rest assured this will wash out and it is non toxic. Only opt for this if your dog has dark coloured coat around the neck.

Rose Gold Stainless Steel is Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) coated which has a higher resistance to wear and scratches than normal electroplated hardware. This colour has slightly less pink hue like our rose gold hardware and is somewhat closer to gold. It may have minor spots without rose gold due to the welding of the chains and rings. This will be silver coloured (stainless steel) and it is minimal. Scratches may happen as wear and tear and the colour may fade and reveal the silver stainless steel underneath.

Gunmetal Black stainless steel is Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) coated which has a higher resistance to wear and scratches than normal electroplated hardware. It may have minor spots without gunmetal due to the welding of the chains and rings. This will be silver coloured (stainless steel) and it is minimal. Scratches may happen as wear & tear. The colour may fade and reveal the silver stainless steel underneath.

Sizing

• IMPORTANT: Martingale collars are generally incorrectly sized as pet owners do not know how to correctly fit. The chain should be stretched out to the maximum when worn on the neck. The chain should not be dangling when relaxed. Hence, it is important to order the correct size the get the best effect of a martingale collar.
• E.g. a 13 inch size will be the entire inner circumference including the chain stretched out to the max. This allows the chain to semi-choke your dog if your dog pulls.
• Our smallest available size is 9inch that fits necks from 8.5inch to 9.5inch. This size will only have 3 adjustment holes. This size can also fit smaller necks from 6inchto 8inch, however, the chain will be loose & dangling when worn. 
• All collars are made to order and are custom to your pet’s size. To ensure a perfect fit, pull the measuring tape snug around your pet’s neck and leave room for your pinkie finger between the tape and your pet’s neck. The size in inches will be the middle hole, out of 5 holes. Round up to the nearest inch if you are in between sizes. This means that with the correct fitting at the middle hole, the end of the webbing will not be too short or too long for the strap keeper and will look much neater than a collar with a huge size range.
• Fluffy dogs should be measured against their skin to get the best fit
• Do not measure your existing collars for sizing
• Custom hole sizing or extra holes are available upon request.
• Holes are 1/2inch apart for a better fit

Foils are delicate and may fade over time with use. When cleaning your gear, make sure you do not rub the foil area and be extra careful. Wiping your gear may also cause the foil to fade. In the event that all foil has disappeared, the deboss will still be visible
